Life Begins At The End Of Your Comfort Zone

Life Begins At The End Of Your Comfort Zone
— Neale Donald Walsch

The necklace my mom gave me.

I wore this quote on a chain around my neck for years. It is crazy that I read these 9 words and give them credit for making me into the woman I am today. But it is also the person who bought me that necklace and pushed me to grow, learn and be brave that I give credit to. My mom.

If you know me personally, it might be kind of hard to believe that I was a little shy growing up. My mom had to push me to go to the sleepovers and the birthday parties. But, I quickly became the social butterfly that could strike up a conversation in a room full of strangers, or walk onstage in front of hundreds of people with total confidence and peace. All of the best things that have happened in my life have come from stepping outside of my comfort zone. New friends, new cities, new adventures, new jobs…. You get the point.

As I sit in bed each night with my laptop in front of me, laughing at myself, trying to figure out what I am doing - I think of this quote and my mom.

I am thankful to have had someone to push me to be my best, and to go for the crazy things in life. Because let’s be real - I DO NOT know what I am doing here. I make fun of myself as I try to make silly little videos of outfits to post on Instagram (who knew it could be so hard lol).  I am learning as I go, having SO much fun, and hoping to create something that at least someone can:

  1. Relate to

  2. Learn something from

  3. Find useful

  4. Find a cute outfit or good recipe from (:

Moral of this story is:

  1. Never be afraid to try something new. If it fails - you can be proud of yourself for trying. But what if it succeeds? Maybe you can change your life, or find your passion or spark! You never know so just go for it!

  2. Thank your mom and dad or your role models. (Thanks Mom and Dad)
